In Cyprus, gas stations are open from Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Outside of these hours, refueling is possible through automatic cash registers.

At some gas stations, if you pay with a bank card, an amount of 60 euros may be temporarily blocked from your account, regardless of the amount of fuel filled. This amount will be refunded to the account within 2-3 days.

To refuel at automatic gas stations, you need to follow several steps:

  • Stop the car at the fuel pump and turn off the engine.
  • Insert the bills into the money receiving device.
  • Press the button corresponding to the column number (its flickering indicates that it is ready for refueling).
  • Take the refueling gun.
  • Insert it into the fuel tank and press the lever, after which the calculation of the fuel cost automatically begins.
  • Receive a receipt at the end of refueling through the vending machine.

Sometimes tourists pay for fuel to the maximum. In case of overpayment, the difference can be refunded by contacting the staff during business hours.
